Start your Thanksgiving holiday off a day early by registering to play in this year’s Waverly Turkey Shootout. This two player event will be on Wednesday, November 25th. Everyone will now go out via a 10:30am Shotgun Start.
It’s a tee timed event that will start between the times of 9am and 12pm. Please see below for all details.
2020 Waverly Shootout
Format: Two player team event with the Front 9 being played as a Better Ball and the Back 9 played as a Scramble. Both players MUST have a USGA Handicap (if no handicap, the player can play as a zero/scratch).
Date/Time: Wednesday, November 25th 10:30am Shotgun Start
Entry Fee: $69 plus tax per player
paid at the time of Check-In. We will now require all players who have registered to prepay using our online store paypal option by Wednesday November 18th. If you have not prepaid by the 18th we will open your spot to someone on the waiting list.

We are limiting the field to 40 teams (80 players). This will SELL OUT, so be sure to sign up today. We are up to 120 players for this years event.
Donations:We are asking that each player to bring canned good(s) and/or non-perishable item(s) to be donated to a local Food Bank during the Holiday season.
The Waverly Shootout format will be varied over the Front 9 and Back 9 holes as follows:
Holes 1 – 9: will be played as a Better Ball with each player receiving 80% of handicap.
Better Ball example: Each player plays their own ball and the team’s score is the better gross and net of the two scores.
Holes 10 – 18: will be played as a Scramble with players getting 50% of combined handicaps.
Scramble example: Each player tees off and the team selects and plays the best-positioned ball and continues this advancement throughout the play of that hole. Your team will record both your gross and your net scores.

Local Rules: Play ready golf. USGA rules apply with the following exceptions:
All wetlands are environmentally sensitive areas. Please stay out (Rule 26-1).
All play will be from the white tees unless you are age 60 or over. For those over 60, play will be from the gold tees.
Pace of Play will be enforced to ensure all competitors can complete their round. Penalty strokes will be given if a group is not able to get back into position after they have been warned.
Please bring canned goods and/or non-perishable items so that we can donate to a local Food Bank over the holidays. Thank You!
